SUNY Maritime College
Gandhi Engineering was hired by the State University of New York Construction Fund to rehabilitate the piers at SUNY Maritime College in the Bronx.
West Fordham Road Bridge
Our work on this project involved designing a ramp and elevator system at the subway stop at West Fordham Road. The design and efforts of Gandhi Engineering on this project were given an Award of Merit by New York Construction News in 1998.
Public School 32
In 2006 Gandhi Engineering was hired by the New York City School Construction Authority to update and modernize P.S. 32.
Public School 3
Gandhi Engineering did substantial design on P.S. 3 to refurbish and modernize the building.
Third Avenue Bridge over Harlem River
Gandhi Engineering, hired on behalf on the New York City Department of Transportation, worked on the reconstruction of the viaduct ramp over the Harlem River. Gandhi's work on this project was recognized with the Best Bridge Award in 2005 from New York Construction News.
Riverside Drive Bridge
Gandhi Engineering was hired by the New York City Department of Transportation as the prime consultant on the reconstruction of the Riverside Drive Bridge over West 96th Street. Our exceptional work on this bridge was given the 2005 Award of Merit from New York Construction News.
City Island Bridge Design
Gandhi Engineering has been hired to design the City Island Bridge in Bronx, New York. The project includes the replacement of the current City Island Road Bridge over Eastchester Bay by a single tower asymmetrical cable-stayed bridge.
East 78th Street Pedestrian Bridge Replacement
Gandhi Engineering was hired by the New York City Department of Transportation to design a replacement of the 70-year-old pedestrian bridge on East 78th Street in Manhattan. After significant preparatory work, this $12 million project was successfully implemented in two quick mornings of work.
Taconic State Parkway
Gandhi Engineering was hired to design and construct a ramp between Route 9A and the Taconic State Parkway in Westchester County. This design won the Tappen Zee Award (Best Project of the Year) from the American Society of Civil Engineers in 2008.
NYCDOT Retaining Wall Asset Management System
Gandhi Engineering was hired by the New York City DOT to create an inventory and a condition assessment database of retaining walls along all streets and highways within the City of New York.
In 1998, Gandhi Engineering was hired to design and build the structure which carries pedestrians and bicyclists over the Williamsburg Bridge.
Rehabilitation of FDR Drive
The State of New York hired Gandhi Engineering to rehabilitate FDR Drive and make improvements to the surrounding area.

Gandhi Engineering was hired by the New York City School Construction Authority to modernize the Cobble Hill School of American Studies.
NYSDOT Wall Asset Management System
Gandhi Engineering was selected by the New York State DOT to build a Wall Management System (WMS) for Region 11. This system would help the agency systematically monitor the condition of all significant walls along its routes, and quickly provide repairs or protective measures where needed.
State of Practice for Managing ERS Assets
In 2008, Gandhi Engineering was hired to study the current state of practice for the asset management of Earth Retaining Structures (ERS), research options for the Inventory and the Condition and Performance Assessment of ERS.
