This project involves the following work:

Reinforcing Support Elements: The shoring of First Floor slab and underpinning of structure above damaged beams, removal of concrete on damaged beams back to ends at supporting columns. The removal of existing end brackets and new installation of end brackets connecting to existing columns. Provide new steel beams with rust preventive coating and encasement in concrete full length.

Exterior Masonry: The scope of work under exterior masonry consists of excavation along the north, east and west sides of the two wings of the building. Provide waterproofing along the foundation walls of the building. Backfill at paved courtyard and north and south paved areas to within 8 ″ of finished grade well-compacted. Provide new asphalt paving over backfilled trenches in all paved areas sloped away from building. Provide new 6″ concrete slab roof over pit with opening and 2 inch high concrete curb to receive new water-tight flush access door to eliminate water entry. Provide new watertight flush access door and frame set into concrete curb. Install waterproofing over slab and pave over with 2" thick asphalt paving to match surrounding finished asphalt paving. Provide new water tight cellar emergency exit door and frame set into existing curb in inner courtyard. Alter and patch existing curb as required to install the new exit door and make frame watertight. Re-point all joints at ashlar masonry on West (front) façade. Seal around gas room vent pipe penetration.

Parapets: The removal and reinstallation of existing cast stone copings, provide and maintain temporary protection on tops of parapets, installation of new copper flashing at window lintels, resealing of joints between coping stones and between terracotta cast marble ornaments and new face brick at Southeast, Front (West wing), Northeast wing and Roof bulkhead. Gymnasium Floor: Removal and replacement of the existing gymnasium floors with new flooring and painted game lines.
